In the Anti-Doping Database we have registered 545 anti-doping rule violations (ADRV) where furosemide is involved. 237 of the athletes were given a two-year ban. 95 were banned for four years. 71 were banned for less than two years.
Russia is the country with the most athletes who has been banned for using Furosemide. In total 74 Russian athletes has been banned. India has banned 48 while Kazakhstan has banned 32.
Wrestling tops the list of sports where the athlete has been banned for using Furosemide. 62 wrestlers has been banned so far. Bodybuilding (53) comes second and boxing third (42). In Track and Field 39 athletes has so far been banned for using Furosemide.
This is Chesangs first suspension for an anti-doping rule violation. She is also the second athlete from Uganda to be banned for using a banned substance.
